Two types of Interpostal seal were issued bearing the town name GEDDA.  These seals are listed in the book The Posta Europa and 1984 Kehr Catalogue of Interpostals, written by Ernest A. Kehr & Philip Cockrill.  Further information is provided by Jakob von Uexkull in his book The Early Postal History of Saudi Arabia.

Kehr type III (1867)

Both sources agree that they were printed in lithography and that two stones were used and that there were printings in three different colours, blue, grey and slate.  There appears to be a conflict in the information provided regarding the size of the printed sheet.  Kehr states a sheet size of 30, whereas Uexkull states that each stone had 15 to 18 impressions.
